Once again, we are joining in with ‘Thy Kingdom Come’, a global prayer movement of 10 dedicated days of prayer in the lead up to Pentecost. As part of this we will host a 24-7 Prayer Room at St Columb Minor, 5th-8th June

We desire to encounter more of God’s presence and see more of his Kingdom; during this period, we want to throw ourselves into prayer to increase our hunger and align our heart with the Father. See below for more information and how to sign up below.

What is a 24-7 Prayer Room?

A 24-7 Prayer room is a creative prayer space that enables a chain of unbroken day and night prayer, bringing friends and families together to seek the presence of God.

The ancient Celts used the phrase “thin places” to describe spaces where the veil between heaven and earth feels especially thin — where prayer flows freely, and the still, small voice of God can be heard clearly.

Our prayer is that this room will become a place of encounter and intercession.

Click here more information and stories about the 24-7 Prayer movement.

What can I expect?

Don’t be intimidated by the thought of praying for an hour. Over and over, people report that in the presence of God, one hour feels like ten minutes.

Everyone uses the space differently, but we highly encourage you to put devices and distractions to one side as you enter the prayer room.

There will be interactive prayer stations you’re welcome to explore, or you can simply pray in your own way. We also invite you to write or draw your prayers, so others can come alongside and add their “Amen.”

Where and when it is? And how do I sign up?

The Prayer Room will be at St Columb Minor Church Hall. It will open at 7pm on 5th June with Seek First, and close at 8am on Sunday 8th June.

Please click here to sign up for the prayer room.

You can book the space for yourself, for your hub, come a group of friends, or as a family. If you’d like to book an overnight slot, please sign up for a minimum of 2 hours..
