We are so thankful for everyone who serves at St Gregory’s. Our Sunday gatherings, youth groups, and wider events simply wouldn’t be possible without the time and energy of our church family that’s given so generously.
The Bible describes the church as the body of Christ, one body made up of many different parts. Each person, with their unique gifts and differences, has an important part to play in the life and story of St Gregory’s.
We don’t want to rely on a small core working at an unsustainable pace. Instead, we long to see as many people as possible drawn into the mission and life of the church. That means not standing on the sidelines, but stepping in and taking part.
We encourage everyone to find both a “sweet spot”, a place where your passions, talents, and strengths come alive and a “serve spot”, a role that meets the practical needs of the wider church, even if it feels less exciting.
The risk of consuming on the sidelines can fast lead to us becoming commentators and critics - we desire to be a church of contributors with a shared responsibility for the life of the church. In what ways do you think you could help the church to thrive?
Kids
The kids team at St Gregory's wants to see children grow in their knowledge and love of Jesus and have fun along the way! It's about helping them form their own personal relationship with Jesus. The team helps create a safe and fun environment for all the children, and have a lot of fun themselves!

Youth
The youth team at St Gregory's wants to see young people loving Jesus, one another and their communities they are in, and having lots of fun along the way! If you would like to join the youth team and volunteer on a Sunday at church, or at the midweek older youth group please get in touch with our

Worship & Production
The worship team is made up of singers and musicians who are passionate about wholeheartedly leading people into the presence of God! If you’re interested in joining the worship team we’d love to hear from you! We will send you our Worship Team Handbook and a small application form, we may ask you to send in some footage of you playing or we’ll arrange an informal audition with our Worship Pastor Esther Wren.
The production team is as much part of the worship team as anyone who sings or plays an instrument! We want St Gregory’s to be accessible to everyone and we do this through using our sound and visual equipment! We train all our team members so no prior experience is needed.
Creative
Our world is always changing, and we need people who can share faith in fun, creative, and engaging ways. If you’ve got a creative side, there are plenty of ways to team up with our worship and production crew to help bring gatherings and events to life such as through videography, photography, social media and graphic design.
Welcome
At St Gregory’s, we want everyone to feel right at home, which is why we’re so grateful for our Welcome Team! If you love meeting new people, having a chat, and helping others feel seen and valued, we’d love to hear from you.
Hospitality (Café)
Our Hospitality Team is a huge part of the warm welcome we want everyone to experience at St Gregorys and what better way to do that than with a hot drink and a slice of cake? If you enjoy making people feel at home (and maybe even fancy baking a treat now and then), this is the team for you. Don’t worry, no star baker status required, Paul Hollywood hasn’t popped in…yet!
Set up & Pack down
As we don’t have a permanent building we have the joy of getting to set up church every Sunday in our venue! This requires lots of moving things around and packing everything back into the shed afterwards.
If you’re willing to come to church a little earlier or stay a little later and know how to bend from the knees then this is the team for you!
